Queen of Green - Luimneach Abú

There isn't a better week to be in Limerick than this one! The rain has returned turning our fields back to their rightful shade of green, the cold remains abated, and in a beautiful show of support the town and the county are awash in green and white flags and other shows of support for the upcoming All-Ireland Hurling final this Sunday.

I remember the first time I stepped off the train during my initial visits to Ireland to decide where GES Energy should be based. I was an American who had no ties to Ireland and I had the option to establish GES Energy anywhere. At the time the top contenders were Dublin, Galway, Cork, or Limerick. All are beautiful cities but from the moment I arrived in Limerick, the business community embraced GES Energy with a support that I don't think you could find elsewhere. We were welcomed with open arms from the Bank of Ireland Workbench, Limerick Chamber of Commerce, Limerick LEO, Network Ireland, as well as fellow sustainability companies such as Accuvio, Electricity Exchange, and ECOS. It made an American far from home feel like I had found a place I didn't just want to establish a business but also a life.

To all those who have tickets to Sunday's game, I look forward to seeing you in your best green livery. I'll be there in the Cusack Stand with my pride and love for Limerick on full display. The best of luck to John Kiely, the team management, and the Limerick Senior Hurlers. To Limerick the Victory!
