Last week we discussed what green leadership is and a little on how it can be adopted. This week we are going to outline the impact of Green Leadership on your business:
Since that initial trip to Ireland for a girl's holiday. I saw first hand how much potential there was for SMEs and hotels to save money by implementing easy energy efficiency upgrades. Back in California, we invested heavily in solar power and now we have so much at times that other states pay us for that excess energy. I see that same potential in Ireland with PV solar, wind generation, and tidal power.
Our role in Glas Éireann Solutions, as an Energy Services Company is to audit, design, install, finance and provide maintenance to businesses who wish to improve energy efficiencies in order to reduce costs and increase profitability. We will primarily reduce client’s energy consumption by upgrading or installing new high efficiency systems such as LED Lighting, HVAC, CHP, Solar, more efficient boilers, improved building fabric and centralized energy management systems. The main differentiator between us as an ESCO and other energy efficiency contractors is the guarantee of energy savings which is specified as part of the terms of an Energy Performance Contract (EPC). Because of this, we must be on top of our game with regard to latest trends in technology, and something that we have noticed is that the development of Ireland’s solar sector has so far got off to a less than stellar start, particularly in comparison to other green energy solutions. But why is that?
